Proxima Fusion is bringing fusion down to Earth using QI stellarators. Proxima Fusion is working towards a future where fusion will provide clean, abundant and safe energy. As the first spin-out company from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, Proxima aims to bring the expertise developed in Germany with the W7-X stellarator to the energy market. Leveraging recent advances in computational optimization, engineering design and high-temperature superconductors, stellarators can now win the fusion race and truly scale to power plants.
