Global Game Jam 2020

Global Game Jam
Event Details:

Our doors open on Friday 16:00 clock.
Program starts at 16:30.

We can host up to 100 jammers at WERK1.
We will close registration at that number.

Food & Drinks

We will supply you with soft drinks, tea, coffee and snacks. Around WERK1 you can find places to get proper food, though their opening times vary. Please check them out beforehand. We also have a pizza delivery place of our choice, which we can refer to you.

Sleeping on site

There is a designated napping room on site, but no beds etc are provided. If you want to sleep there, you are welcome to do so. A sleeping bag, blanket and sleeping pad are very much recommended.

Equipment etc

There are no workstations/laptops etc. at WERK1. You have to bring your material yourself.
We have a limited amount of adapter and power plugs. To make sure you are covered, we highly recommend bringing your own equipment. There is NO wired LAN available from our side, you are however free to set up your own dedicated networks. Other useful things include crafting material such as pens, scissors, glue, etc. Also a good idea is to bring boardgame base material for prototyping or making a boardgame.

For the presentations we use a HDMI port, so have your Fancy Mac-Adaptors ready!

Streaming & photographs

There will maybe some livestreaming on site. The same is true for photographs. If we take your picture and upload it, you can ping us in person or via [email protected] and we’ll retract it at once, no questions asked.

Share the luv!

#ggj20 is the global hashtag, #ggjmuc20 is the official local hashtag.

Thank you to our sponsors for keeping this event free!
WERK1 & Games/Bavaria continue their support for the Global Game Jam.

If this is your first jam, do not worry! We usually have a very good mix of experienced and new developers at the jam. Jamming is about celebrating creative collaboration and you will probably learn a lot and meet great people. We’ve seen the forging of some great friendships at gamejams.

You will need to be at least 18 to attend this event.
We can’t take care of minors, sorry.

See you in January!
